Onduparaka own West Nile, Express fail Kirinya test

Onduparaka reminded their neighbours from West Nile Paidha Black Angels who owns the region with a 2-1 win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League tie played on Saturday.

It’s Paidha who took the lead as early as nine minutes through Andrew Kitega, a lead they held on until the break.

After 11 minutes into the second Stanza, Gadaffi Gadinho levelled matters for Onduparaka, Caesar Okhuti with his second goal of the season won the game for the Caterpillars with seven minutes to play for.

Gadaffi was outstanding and for the third straight game he was rewarded with the Pilsner Man of the match award, and a cash price of Shs100,000/=

Onduparaka move second on the logo with 20 points, four behind leaders KCCA FC while Paidha keep their spot at the bottom of the 16 league log.

Express are yet to register a win since they unveiled Betway as their title sponsor on November 6th, they drew the first two against Vipers (1-1) and Bright Stars (1-1).

On Saturday they lost their second straight game as a Joel Madondo strike with nine minutes left on the clock gave KJJS all three points. It was Madondo’s seventh goal of the season and he leads the scorers’ chart. Express lost 2-0 to Onduparaka in their last outing.

It was Express’ third loss of the season, they have won three and drawn four and lie 10th on 13 points. The win takes Kirinya to ninth, a point better Express.

URA’s  drawing spree continued, they settled for a one all draw against Mbarara City at Kakyeka.

Tayo Odongo gave URA the lead with just two minutes to the break, and when it looked like they are destined for a win Rashid Mohammed leveled matters with six minutes left on the clock.

Mbarara are fifth on 17 points, while URA occupy seventh with 14 points, they take their goals tally to five, and they conceded only their second in the season.

Steven Omuria and Mike Kawooya scored for Tooro United as they defeated Nyamityobora 2-1, Charles Masiige scored for the latter in Asaph Mwebaza’s second straight loss in charge.

Nelson Senkatuka and Deogratius Ojom scored for Bright Stars and BUL respectively in the one all draw played at Mwerwere.
