Mutebi wary of tricky BUL despite scoring form

KCCA FC will look to maintain their stay at the helm of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League when they travel away to face BUL on Saturday at Njeru Technical Center.

Head coach Mike Mutebi has already sounded a warning to his players ahead of the fixture stressing that Saturday’s opponents are a decent team that has always shown potential in the league.

“They are doing well, one of the clubs that have fronted their case and have always given us problems,” Mutebi said on Friday morning.

“But since we are scoring, we should be able to do the job and do it in style as well,” he added.

KCCA FC will still turn to veteran midfielder turned striker Sulaiman Mutyaba to bang in the goals.

The pint sized forward is in scintillating form having notched his second hatrick in all competitions on Wednesday against Amuka Bright Stars in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64. KCCA FC won the tie 8-2.

With the absence of Patrick Kaddu and Allan Kyambadde, the creative force of Allan Okello, Steven Sserwadda, Muzamir Mutyaba, Jackson Nunda and Julius Poloto who just returned from injury will prove vital in the quest for three points.

“Scoring goals is the definition of football reason we put a lot of emphasis on that and try to burry the chances we create,” Mutebi added.

At St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, Vipers SC will host mid table contenders Tooro United with closing the gap between them and KCCA FC top of the agenda.

Vipers will hope to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 loss to Constantine in the 2018/2019 Total CAF champions league first round.

They also advanced to the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 after their Round of 64 opponent Rusekere didn’t turn up.

In Arua, SC Villa will hope to build on the Express win away to struggling Paidha Black Angles while Mbarara City host Bright Stars and Ndejje Lions play Maroons.
