Kawuulu foundation has extended a supporting hand in order to facilitate the smooth organizing of the 256 Footballer of the Year Award 2021 edition.
Kawuulu Foundation is a Non Government Organization (NGO) founded with the aim of supporting the youth through sports.
One of Kawuulu Foundation establishments in the pipeline is a Sports Academy in partnership with one of their partnership, Lugazi Football Club.
Through their various initiatives, the foundation has rendered an open hand towards football development especially in the central region of the country.
Over the past two years, they have donated funds and football materials in soccer balls, jerseys, boots among others to a number of Buganda region clubs and the Kyaggwe Sssaza team.
The three-man shortlist of this edition accommodates Taddeo Lwanga, Yunus Sentamu and Eric Kambale whose fate is already being determined by the fans through the ongoing voting on the website.
Whoever scoops this prestigious award will follow in the footsteps of Allan Okello, who won the inaugural edition in 2019 with KCCA before earning a move to Algerian side Paradou AS.
The most recent edition however was won by Nicholas Wadada, whose incredible performances with Tanzanian side Azam FC in 2020 proved sufficient enough to do the magic.
It was because of this incredible history and great appreciation mindset that Kawuulu foundation decided to join this very important and career shaping bandwagon.
Voting for the 2021 best footballer of the eight months or so is still ongoing and will only conclude on November 16 with the winner to be announced a day later at 1000hrs
