Uganda U20 Women National Team will be on a hunt for the fourth straight win in the CECAFA Women U20 championship.
Uganda will be facing Tanzania in an encounter that will take center stage at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
Ayub Khalifa’s charges started the regional tournament on a high with a 5-1 win against Burundi to set the pace of the championship.
Despite the stellar beginning, Khalifa called upon the girls to get better and it is the mentality they have held throughout.
In the second game of the tournament, Uganda registered a 13-0 win against a struggling Djibouti to send a statement display. That was followed by a comfortable 2-0 win over Eritrea but Khalifa expects a better show.
“The result of our previous game shall not make us comfortable but will rather ask the girls to be more vigilant and sharp in front of goal,” Khalifa told the press.
“We are playing against Tanzania who will give us a stronger challenge and we are already preparing for it,” Khalifa noted in line with the game against Tanzania.
The competition is played in a round-robin format with the top two teams qualifying for the final.
