Express FC new signing Raymond Walugembe is yet to start a game for his new club, but, he insists that his time will come for a breakthrough into head coach Wasswa Bbosa’s starting team.

Walugembe who was acquired from relegated side Kyetume FC has only come off the bench twice against Arua Hill SC and UPDF FC.

“I am glad that I joined this club, it has a rich history and winning is in its DNA so I know I am already a winner,” Walugembe was quoted by the club website.

“I have not really made a breakthrough but I trust the process and I am looking forward to when I become a regular to make it count.”

“The support I have received from my teammates is great. They have ensured that I settle in well and we work as a unit which is keeping me going,” he added.

At Walukukuku, the former Masaza player with both Gomba and Buddu is facing competition from the lies third of other forward in Eric Kambale and George Ssenkaaba.

My fellow forwards are helping me really a lot to fit in the team and I am learning more from them. I know the competition amongst us is of a great importance to this club.”

“We have a busy schedule coming up but I am hopeful we shall maintain the momentum because it is the only way we can be champions again,” Walugembe concluded.

The defending champions have gathered seven points from five games and are seated seventh on the 16-team SUPL log. The Red Eagles will host arch rivals SC Villa on Saturday, November 20 after the international break.
