Pilsner Awards: Kasirye October’s best

Davis Kasirye has been voted October’s Pilsner Player of the Month after the KCCA striker scored three goals in four outings.

The forward was in red-hot form and very instrumental for the Kasasiro Boys the previous month, netting in three goals missing to score only against Busoga United.

He was on target once in a 3-0 win over Wakiso Giants, a 2-1 ediging of Gaddafi and in a 2-0 victory against Tooro United helping his side gather 12 points from the four games played in October.

Kasirye has now been recognized for his efforts, beating teammate in goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan and Vipers striker Cesar Manzoki to the accolade.

His team is currently unbeaten, winning four and drawing the other. They are seated top of the 16-team log on 13 points.

Kasirye becomes the first player to win the player of the month award this season given that the 2021/22 campaign is only 30 days old now.

He takes over from Express’ Eric Kambale who won it in May before the 2020/21 term was abandoned due to the surge in the COVID-19 cases in Uganda.

Kasirye who walked away with Shs 1M for his efforts and a plaque, amassed 43% of the online votes.
