Barely four months into his employment as deputy coach at Tooro United, Steven Bengo, on Wednesday confirmed that he had left, citing failure to reach agreement over a number of issues with the club hierarchy.

The former SC Villa midfield jewel had signed with the Edward Golola coached side in August 2021 but has decided to prematurely end his marriage.

“I have left the club,” Bengo was quoted by Kawowo Sports. “We have failed to agree on certain issues with the club owners and I had to quit,” he added.

“I want to thank the staff, players and especially Coach Golola for the wonderful opportunity and I wish them well for the future.”

It should be noted that his departure loomed large after he could only make the stands in the 3-0 and 6-1 trumping by Wakiso Giants and URA FC respectively.

Questions have since been asked about why he has not made it to the technical bench in the two encounters.

Bengo who had a short caretaker role at Wakiso Giants in February 2020 also revealed that his arms are open to dive back into coaching should the opportunity avail itself.
