The Jinja derby between BUL FC and Busoga United ought to have come early and at a wrong timing for the latter who have endured a poor start to the season.

The two Jinja City rivals will lock horns in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe on Tuesday, December 7.

Despite being a dominant side in this fixture, the ‘Kingsmen’ are currently struggling and could be headed for a tough Tuesday afternoon.

Having won only twice this term, drawn once and lost four times, Abbey Bogere Kikomeko’s Busoga is languishing in the bottom half of the 16 team log, in 12th position on seven points whereas Alex Isabirye’s BUL is in fifth place on 14 points.

The two sides will be meeting for the 11th time, Busoga have won thrice, BUL twice while the other five have been draws.

Headed into Tuesday’s game, both teams lost their previous fixtures; BUL were beaten 3-1 by KCCA FC whilst Busoga were edged 1-0 by Arua Hill SC.

In the aftermath of their loss to the Leopards, head coach Kikomeko was finned Ugsh. 500,000 for undressing on the touchline and will not be involved in FUFA organized competition unless the fine is cleared.

Meanwhile, Musa Esenu has scored four of the nine goals BUL have scored this season and will yet again be the player to look up to for the hosts.

On the other hand, Isaac Ntege who has scored half of Busoga’s six goals should carry his scoring boots if the visitors are to get something positive from Kyabazinga.
