Ibrahim Nsimbe was the hero of the day, scoring a hat-trick as BUL FC put five past Busoga United in the Jinja derby played at the Kyabazinga Stadium on Tuesday.

The other two goals were scored by Musa Esenu and Richard Wankyaka to hand the hosts a 5-0 victory over their rivals.

It was a one sided encounter from the onset with BUL dominating proceedings and midway through halftime, they opened the scoring through Nsimbe.

The former MYDA FC striker completed his double in the 28th minute before Esenu made it 3-0 in the 44th minute for the home team to comfortably lead at the interval.

BUL returned for the second half even hungrier and in the 54th minute Nsimbe completed his hat-trick and at the hour mark, Wadyaka also had his name on the scoresheet.

In the last 30 minutes, they could not add another nor could the visitors find a consolation and 5-0 it ended at fulltime.

It is worth noting that a hat-trick took Nsimbe’s tally to four goals while Esenu scored his fifth goal of the season.

Victory ensured that BUL climbed from fifth place on the 16 team log to third on 17 points and will return to action on Friday, December 10.

On the other hand, Busoga remained 13th on seven points and will play Vipers SC next at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Saturday.
