Karim Ndugwa’s first half brace and Walter Ochora’s late strike against Busoga United ensured BUL FC progressed to the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 on Friday.
In the Jinja derby at Kakindu stadium, Ndugwa scored twice in the first 45 minutes and Ochora with a few minutes to full-time to dispatch off Busoga with a 3-0 victory.
Ndugwa headed in Richard Ayiko’s crossing beating Busoga goalkeeper Michael Nantamu to give the away team the lead in the 23rd minute.
Later on in the 37th minute, the forward scored from the penalty spot, getting his second of the day to double the lead before half time.
Busoga started the second stanza all out, searching for a comeback but the BUL defense kept it tight.
After an almost action-less second 45 minutes, Ochora capitalised on a defensive lapse to make it 3-0.
