As his search for a new club nears the end, former KCCA FC left-back Mustafa Kizza is apparently at New York Red Bulls II for trials.

The Uganda Cranes left-back played 90 minutes as his yet-to-be team lost 3-2 to West Chester United SC in the wee hours of Monday.

He featured in the same team with another former ‘Kasasiro Boy’ Steven Sserwadda who was withdrawn at halftime.

Along with Kizza, Daniel De Leon and Delasie Batse were the other trialists as the USL Championship team continues to gear up for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

The 22-year-old played for KCCA between 2017-2020 before switching to Canadian-based CF Montreal for a year (2020-2021). He was then released at the end of his contract and is in search of a new team.

New York Red Bulls II is the feeder side of the senior New York Red Bull team, with the latter having strong affiliations to European outfits Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg and Germany’s RB Leipzig.

New York Red Bulls II is an American professional soccer team based in Montclair, New Jersey.
