She Corporates reach the quarter finals of the Fufa Women Cup for the third consecutive time after a narrow 1-0 win over Muteesa 1 Royal University in a game played on Sunday at Mubs Nakawa.

Milcent Mwanzi’s lone strike was her second in the competition after scoring in their 1-0 win over Ajax Queens at the round of 32 and it was enough for the home team to seal their place in the last eight.

She Corporates would have scored more than the one goal on the day but Mwanzi and Aisha Babirye went on to miss chances which would have extended the lead for the home team.

“This is a great win for us and a very good motivation four our team in the upcoming games,” She Corporates coach Ali Zinda told www.football-256.com.

“Yes we are through to the next level but not happy with how with the chances we missed, the game would have ended 3-0 in our favour.”

“Of course as any team and any coach you play in every tournament to win and that’s our target also,” he added.

Muteesa head coach Augustine Walusimbi was impressed with his players though they couldn’t manage to go through.

“The players did put up a fight though we did some mistakes in defence and we were punished. We do have a problem of not scoring which we have to improve in the last five league games,” Walusimbi said.
