Blacks Power FC head coach Vialli Bainomugisha is proud of his side after they fought back to earn a point against Proline FC.

In the FUFA Big League game played at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday, the two sides played to a 2-2 draw, with Blacks Power having to come from behind.

“We wanted to win the game but did not happen. I would like to appreciate my players for their fighting spirit, ” Bainomigisha told Football256.

“Proline was tough because as we are vying for promotion, on the other hand, they are fighting for survival.”

“We trailed but managed to fight back to earn a point which I believe is very vital and we shall build on that in the remaining two games.”

“Had we won the game we would have brightened our promotion chances but even now, we still have it in our hands, four points are enough for us,” he noted.

After 18 games, the Lira-based side is level on 35 points with Kataka FC who beat Ndejje University FC 2-0 on the same day.

However, it is Kataka that occupies the top spot having scored more goals (33) compared to Blacks Power’s 32.

The two sides not only have the same number of points but also the same goal difference of 16.

Blacks Power and Kataka will face off in a mouthwatering encounter on Thursday, April 14 in Mbale, in what could determine the fate of either side.
