The 2019 Total Africa Cup Of Nations is around the corner and just like teams know who they will face in the group stages, the fans now know what it will cost to watch a single AFCON match especially the Ugandan fans expected to travel.
The tournament which will be held majorly in Cairo will see fans part with different categories of ticket prices to enjoy the show piece which for the first time will have 24 nations participating.
The ticket prices have been divided into two categories, one that involves Egypt matches and the rest of the teams participating.
The cheapest general ticket will cost US$6 (about UGX22,470), followed by one of US$18 (about 67,000) and US$30 (about UGX112,000).
For matches involving the hosts the pricing has goes up with the ordinary ticket going for US$12 (about UGX44,933), the second one will cost UGX24$ (about UGX 89,866).
The third will cost US$36 (UGX134,800) and the highest ticket to watch the Pharaohs in action will cost UGX145$ (about UGX542,000).
By purchasing a match day ticket, football fans will hit two birds with one stone as they will be able to watch two games on a given day in one stadium.
The 2017 AFCON held in Gabon had way cheaper tickets, with the cheapest going for US$3 while the most expensive on was priced at US$30.
The Gabonese FA had Government support it remains to be seen if the Egyptian Government will come in to aid in the preparations or influence the ticket prices to go abit lower.
