Kenya national team, Harambee Stars trained for the first time in Cairo Egypt this week as they gear towards their first AFCON assignment against Algeria on Sunday.
Kenya touched down in Egypt on Tuesday evening after camping in France for three weeks preparing for the tournament.
The Stars featured in two pre-AFCON friendly games against Madagascar and Democratic Republic of Congo.
They defeated Madagascar 1-0 in Paris, France with skipper Victor Wanyama scoring the only goal of the match from the penalty spot.
They then played to a one all draw against DRC in Madrid Spain. Michael Olunga scored Stars’ goal. Harambee Stars has been pooled in Group C alongside Algeria, Senegal, and Tanzania.
The first match will be against Algeria on June 23, Tanzania will be up next on June 27, before Kenya winds up her group stage matches against Senegal on July 1, 2019.
