After playing two building up games in Abu Dhabi, Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre probably knows the players he will be using in the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Frenchman used nearly all the common faces in the 0-0 draw with Turkmenistan. But in a 1-0 victory over African giants Ivory Coast he lined up his best starting XI led by Skipper Dennis Onyango.
Unlike in the Turkmenistan game, Desabre could probably be going for the line up he used against Ivory Coast for Uganda Crane’s AFCON opener against Democratic Republic of Congo.
Having registered no injury concerns since Moses Waiswa’s, the French tactician has a variety of options to choose from his starting team.
There are some fresh players on the block that have inspired the coach tempting him to start them in his final match selection. These include Bevis Mugabi, Abdu Lumala, and Patrick Kaddu who are all maidens at this tournament.
The Frenchman’s admiration for the 4-4-2 formation of play, could have thrown the likes of Nicholas Wakiro Wadada and Joseph Ochaya out of the Peking orders.
The system looks to be favoring Yeovil Town defender Bevis Mugabi who has overshadowed Wadada.
This system also favours KCCA FC forward Patrick Kaddu as a perfect upfront partner with Farouk Miya.
Cranes Probable Starting XI
