Former Prime Minister and Gor Mahia patron Raila Odinga has urged Harambee Stars to bounce back from yesterday defeat to Algeria when they take on Tanzania on Thursday.
Kenya started their 2019 African Cup of Nations on a woeful note by going 2-0 down courtesy of first-half goals from Baghdad Bounedjah and Riyad Mahrez.
It is a match that Migne’s side was outplayed by the North Africans and speaking to the players after the match, Raila urged them to bounce back against Tanzania who equally lost their opener to Senegal on Sunday.

“It is not always about winning, but putting in a personal best effort. We still have a chance to right the wrongs in our match against Tanzania and I’m confident that we can do it,” Odinga told players on Monday morning.
Raila further hailed Stars for an improved second half where they defended well and created some goal-scoring chances.
“I want to congratulate you for putting in a good fight especially in the second half, despite not having got the result we all anticipated,” he added.
Kenya will face Tanzania ion June 27th in a must-win East Africa derby, the latter lost 2-0 to Senegal on Sunday too.
