Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre has made one change from the team that defeated DR Congo 2-0 at the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations ahead of the clash against Zimbabwe.
Defender Ronald Mukiibi comes in for Murushid Juuko who has been eliminated for an unclear reason although Desabre believes he would rather have him available for the game against Egypt since he is a yellow card away from suspension.
Led by skipper Denis Onyango, the back four will have Bevis Mugabi on the right, Godfrey Walusimbi on the left with Mukiibi partnering Wasswa at the heart of the defense.
Khalid Aucho and Mike Azira maintain their slots in the midfield just Infront of the back four, Emmanuel Okwi and Abdu Lumala will operate in the wide areas with Miya Faruku playing just behind Patrick Kaddu.
Kaddu and Okwi grabbed the two goals against DR Congo in either halves of the game off Miya’s corner and freekick respectively.
The trio will be expected to maintain that form and guide Uganda to victory which will cement their slot into the next round.
