The 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations has reached the business end of things after the conclusion of the group stages.

The continent’s most prestigious football tournament has reached the direct elimination stage were a single game will determine any team’s safety in the do or die affairs.

From 24 team, 12 secured direct qualification to the round of 16 whereas the other four came through as the best third placed teams.

Seven time winners Egypt, Madagascar, Algeria, Morocco, Mali and Ghana all led their respective groups over a period of 12 teams.

Uganda, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Tunisia and defending champions Cameroon went through as runners up.

Guinea, DR Congo, Benin and South Africa secured round of 16 football status as the best four third placed teams.

Zimbabwe, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Angola, Mauritania and Guinea Bissau have tickets ready to fly back home.
