Uganda Cranes stylish winger Kizito Luwagga is hopeful they will have rectified all their mistakes in the time before their June 22nd opening game at the 2019 Total Africa of Nations against Democratic Republic of Congo.
Luwagga who joined the Cranes camp at Park Rotana hotel in Abu Dhabi with custodian Salim Jamal also appreciated the choice of the camp the football Federation (FUFA) made adding that the condition in terms of weather almost similar with that of Egypt.
“We have got a chance that we have joined camp early,” Luwagga said after his first training session with the team on Monday.
“Abu Dhabi is a good place as the weather condition is almost similar with that of Egypt so I think we have enough time to rectify our mistakes and come AFCON we shall be ready.”
Luwagga who turns out for Kazakhstan outfit Shakter Karagandy returned in the Cranes fold after a while having made his last appearance in the AFCON qualification Group L match against Tanzania at Namboole.
At Shakter Karagandy which he joined earlier this year from Romanian side CSM Lasi on loan, he has featured in 11 games making a total of 799 minutes with one goal and two yellow cards to his name.
Before joining the Uganda Cranes camp in Abu Dhabi, he was involved in a league match against Tobol Luwagga started before paving way for Omirtayev in the 68th minute, they lost the game 2-0.
Shakter Karagandy sits in 7th place on a 12 team logged table with 17 points from 13 games played.
