By Football256 Team

Despite finishing third in group B of the 2019 Total Africa U17 Cup of Nations, Senegal head coach Omar Daff claims that his side should be the one in the semifinals of the competition and not Guinea.

Senegal failed to win any of their three games in the tournament, registering two draws and one defeat in the process but Daff remains hopeful waits the right decision from CAF.

Senegal have already written an official protest to CAF about Guinea’s players Aboubakar Conte and Ahmed Tidiane Keita, reportedly with evidence that the above-mentioned players have represented Guinea at a different tournament with a different identity.

According to their protest, the duo previously took part in an U16 tournament organized by the Japan Football Federation from in June 2017 in Japan with the different birth dates.

“It’s clear, everybody can see, the laws are in place and should be used by the authorities in charge,” Daff said in the post-match press conference.

“Cases of doubled identity are punishable so let the authorities make a decision for the image of African football,” he added.
