On the day he turns 18 and returning from Injury, striker Sadat Anaku scored twice as KCCA FC junior defeated Vipers Junior team 2-0 in the FUFA Junior Elites’ league tie played at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.
The highly contested tie saw KCCA FC take their points tally to 32 and still top the Treble Group, won eight and drawn just once in quest for their first junior league trophy.
Hungry Anaku who leads the scorers’ charts with 17 goals was delighted about the team performance in a game that was filled with emotions from both sets of players and officials.
“I am very happy to score twice on my birthday taking my tally to 72 since I joined KCCA. I hope to score more as I continue with my career at KCCA FC,” he said.
KCCA FC coach Jackson Magera was equally impressed about the performance of this team especially after losing the first round tie 3-2 in Kitende.
“It was fantastic flow of football from my boys, we did our homework from the last game we played against them in Kitende. Especially on how to penetrate them because they play the long ball and very aggressive defensively and it worked,” Magera said before adding.
“Everyone on their zone have been effective, Anaku has done what he was meant to do as a striker and it was because of the collective effort from the team.”
