Sadat Anaku bagged his first goals of the season as his hat-trick helped KCCA FC to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Busoga United at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Anaku playing in only his second game of the season put the Kasasiro Boys ahead inside two minutes as he beat Busoga United defenders to a through ball from Bright Anukani before slotting below Rogers Omedwa.

As KCCA enjoyed more of the ball in the opening 15 minutes, Anaku almost turned provider for Brian Aheebwa – who has been hit by a drought recently – but the latter’s header flew over the cross bar.

Busoga should have drawn level in the 25th minute, but goalkeeper Charles Lukwago pulled off a brilliant save to deny Jeromy Kirya.

Mutebi made the first change of the game bringing on Kezironi Kizito who has come in for criticism from the coach for Ashraf Mugume.

The change provided KCCA with a fresh breath of life and they soon doubled their lead through Anaku who tapped from close range before wheeling off to celebrate with Hassan Musana for a brave run down the flank that led to the goal.

Anaku completed his hat-trick in the 78th minute with a phenomenal finish from inside the box.

Charles Lwanga completed a colourful afternoon for the Kasasiro Boys with a fourth in the 88th minute as KCCA climbed to fourth on the log on 20 points, four points behind leaders Vipers SC.

They host UPDF FC on Friday, March 5, before they travel to Kyetume FC on Tuesday, March 9.
