Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has extended his stay with Tanzanian Premier League champions Young Africans SC for another two years.
The above development was confirmed by the club via its social media platforms on Wednesday.
Aucho joined Young Africans in August 2021 and signed a two-year contract as a free agent after leaving Egyptian side Misr Lel Makkasa following the expiry of his two-year contract which he decided not to renew.
Aucho’s contract at the Tanzanian giants was due to expire at the end of the ongoing season but it has been extended until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
On joining Young Africans, the 29-year-old immediately won the hearts of the club’s faithful who nicknamed him ‘Daktari Wa Mpira’ straight away.
Young African’s president Hersi Said’s intentions were always clear with the Uganda Cranes assistant captain, he wanted him to renew his contract with Young.
During his maiden season with his side, Aucho won a domestic treble ( Tanzanian Premier League -TPL, FA Cup, and Community Shield) last season.
Young Africans are top of the current TPL log as they continue with their quest to defend their crown.
Young Africans have collected 50 points, six points ahead of their arch-rivals Simba SC after 19 games.
