Uganda Cranes forward Steven Desse Mukwala has parted ways with employers URA FC after two years together.
The 23-year-old joined the Tax Collectors in the 2020/21 season from Vipers SC, following a year at Maroons FC on loan.
“I take this opportunity to thank URA Football Club for the chance it gave me to be part of its project,” he said off his social media platforms, before confirming.
“Saying goodbye is always the hardest thing for me. But, I guess it’s time to move on.”
The development comes at a time when reports have indicated the striker is only moments away from joining Ghana Premier League Champions, Asante Kotoko FC.
Others have reported the forward agreed to a two-year contract with the West African giants, and that a move is imminent.
Mukwala is a proven goal-scorer who has managed double figures in the past three campaigns.
In the 2019/20 season, he notched 13 goals in 23 matches. He then added 14 in 24 the following campaign, before hitting 13 in 26 games the preceding season.
