Six months since ending his relationship with Express FC as head coach, Wasswa Bbosa is yet to fully come to terms with the manner of his unprecedented exit.

The Red Eagles were marred in a number of management troubles throughout the 2021/22 season, and the peak was Bbosa’s unending clashes with the CEO Isaac Mwesigwa.

Now at Gaddafi Modern FC, the engraved tactician revealed some of the alleged rot in the ‘Mukwano Gwabangi’ camp, before he was sacked.

“Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka gave inexperienced people an opportunity to run Express,” started Bbosa in an interview with NBS Sport on Wednesday.

“And, that’s how the job became too big for them hence the troubles. I was never the problem because if it’s results, I brought them,” he added.

Bbosa would then be replaced with James Odoch, initially on an interim basis, as they failed to defend their title, eventually finishing sixth with 46 points.

The Gaddafi coach further elaborates what he termed incompetence with the CEO, Mwesigwa, who among other things, refused to pay players’ bonuses and allowances.

“Kiwanuka informed us that he had released bonuses for winning the league (2020/21) and prize money for the CECAFA Cup, but Mwesigwa didn’t give the players the money,” said a rather bitter Bbosa.

With the club allegedly short on funds, Bbosa reveals further on how he injected in his personal funds for parts of the 2021/22 campaign.

“I used to finance Express in the first round. Mwesigwa knows there is faults in the team,” he said in a huge claim.

“I would love he comes out and disagree with my statements,” the motor-mouthed gaffer stung.

The club has since employed Odoch on a permanent basis for a year, as he embarks on the road to renaissance.

The new coach has let a number of players leave in Murushid Juuko, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Erik Kambale, Yaya Kakooza Mahad, Denis Otim, George Senkaaba among others.

Odoch has also signed a few new names in Anwar Ntege, Marvin Oshaba, Andrew Kaggwa, Hamim Semakula, Joseph Dhata, Benjamin Gakumba and Kada Bitakazibwa.
