As clubs are preparing for the 2019/2020 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, the players are also doing the same in the off season hoping to be ready in time for the new season.
With the preseason workout soon commencing, Bright Stars’ midfielder Jamir Kaliisa can’t wait for the new season to kick off as he believes it’s his season to shine.
“I can’t wait to push harder next season,” Kaliisa told www.football-256.com before adding.
“I am optimistic I will be ready come next season and I believe I will offer much as it will be my first full season at Bright Stars. My only prayer is to stay injury free.
Kaliisa joined Bright Stars in the middle of last season playing a total of 11 games in both the league and Stanbic Uganda Cup netting four goals.
He was on the losing side as Proline defeated Bright Stars 5-4 on penalties in the Uganda Cup final after the one all draw in normal.
He has formerly played for Kampala Region side Lungujja Galaxy and Dream FC, a Futsal side with whom he was named MVP in the maiden Futsal League in Uganda.
