Morley Byekwaso is no stranger to taking the lead in the dugout much as he has spend the last two season in the shadow of KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi.
With Mutebi serving a four match ban, Byakwaso will be calling the shots at Kakyeka Stadium as KCCA FC visit Mbarara City as they launch the second round of the 2018/2019 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
“I am more than ready as the manager in charge of this game in absence of head coach Mike Mutebi,” Byekwaso told www.football-256.com before adding.
“We are determined to get positive results because this is the only league we are still competing for this season, we are looking forward at winning the league.”
The Lugogo based club is in search of their first maximum points against Mbarara, the Livingstone Mbabazi coached side have also never won against KCCA FC.
It will be the team with the best home record this season against the side with the best away record, but KCCA FC will miss skipper Timothy Awany through suspension.
“Bernard Muwanga will start tomorrow’s game in defense and we hope to count on his experience. We shall play freely but with a motive of winning,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Kasasiro Boys defender Muwanga told this website that he will give out whatever he can to get three points for his side.
“I will give out whatever I can so that KCCA FC get three points, it is a mission possible for us to keep the distance from the chasing park so that we emerge the champions at the end of the season.”
KCCA FC are on the top of the log with 36 points while Mbarara City FC are 3rd with 28 points from 15 games after picking a vital point from Vipers SC at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Sunday.
