The Confederation of African Football (CAF) President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, is expected to land in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam to attend the CECAFA extraordinary General Assembly at the Golden Tulip Hotel on Friday.
While in the meeting, Motsepe will address the Presidents and Secretary Generals from the different Member Associations from the CECAFA region.
“The CAF President will arrive on Friday to attend the CECAFA assembly, and also hold a meeting with the Tanzania Prime Minister,” CAF General Secretary said in a statement.
One of the other key issues for discussion is the launching of the CAF Pan African Schools Football Championship in the region.
Dr Motsepe earlier announced the Interschool competition project that will cover the whole continent. The issue was brought to concern in April 2021 in the meeting that was held in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasha.
In the same line with football development, Dr Motsepe is expected to meet Tanzania’s Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa in Dodoma to further discuss matters of the beautiful game in the country.
The meeting will also have the CAF General Secretary, Véron Mosengo-Omba, who arrived in Tanzania earlier than the President.
