Forget the 6-1 against Nyamityobora at the StarTimes Stadium, KCCA FC’s biggest result of the 2018/2019 StarTimes Uganda premier League should be the 2-0 against Onduparaka at the Green Light Stadium in Arua last year.
It was the first time they were picking all three points off the Caterpillars in Arua on three attempts, the previous two ending in a loss and a draw.
As the two sides meet at Lugogo on Tuesday, memories will be awakened, the first meeting there in 2016 saw KCCA FC triumph 7-0, the next one last season was 4-1 win in favour of KCCA FC.
KCCA FC would want to ride on those results to keep the momentum going, the visitors will surely want to use the same results as motivation too as they try to pick their first three points at the ground against KCCA FC.
“Onduparaka is one of the strongest teams in the league right now, it won’t be an easy game, we are going to fight for points and see that we win the game,” KCCA FC assistant manager Morley Byekwaso told www.football-256.com.

“They (Onduparka) have very good offensive players, we must make sure we defend well so that they don’t harm us. We also need to do what we are supposed to do, and we shall get a result.”
KCCA FC attacking prowess has been boosted by the return of striker Patrick Kaddu from suspension, Jackson Nunda and Mustafa Kizza are also back from injury.
Both teams drew their opening games of the second round, KCCA FC settled for a barren draw against Mbarara City while Onduparaka picked their first point off Bright Stars in Mwerwere with a one all draw.
“In every game, we need to improve, we weren’t clinical against Bright Stars because we had like four chances, we shall be an improved side against KCCA FC,” Onduparaka interim coach Simeone Masaba said.
KCCA FC top the 16 team log with 37 points, Onduparaka are sixth on 25 points, the last time the latter visited Lugogo it was for charity and they came out on top 3-1.
