It’s their first time at any tournament outside Uganda and Proline FC are on the verge of securing a quarter final slot at the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup.
Proline will lock horns with Green Eagles FC of Zambia in their last group game at Kigali Stadium on Thursday 11th July.
Both teams find themselves level on three points in two games hence the legitimacy of Thursday’s game in both camps as far as gaining a quarter place is concerned.
“We’ve conducted a great last training and we think we’ve done all that’s needed,” Proline coach Shafic Bisaso told www.football-256.com after Wednesday’s training session before adding.
“It’s a big game for the big boys because Proline FC has grown playing at the regional level. We are level on points with tomorrow’s opponent, but that doesn’t pile pressure on us, our main focus is on winning the game”
Proline FC and Green Buffaloes have the same points, each has scored twice and conceded once out of two fixtures which shapes Thursday’s encounter as a do or die affair.
Depending on form and spirit, the last group stage game between the two is going to be a rough test for both sides and a narrow contest is expected.
“Everyone at the club most especially the players are in the mood to win tomorrow’s game because it’s a must win,” Proline defender Mujuzi Musitafa noted.
The Stanbic Uganda Cup champions head into the game without players like Kintu Samuel, Ajuna Richard and Saka Mpiima who are sidelined due to injuries.
