By Football256 Team

Proline FC will be one of the clubs that will represent Uganda at this year’s CECAFA Kagame tournament that will take place from July 6th-21st 2019 in Rwanda.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup winners were invited to the tournament joining at list of teams that will take part in this year’s competition filling the void left by Tanzania outfits simba and Yanga Sports Clubs.

Proline who join KCCA FC took the invitation as an opportunity as they are hoping to use this tournament as a precursor to the 2019/2020 Total CAF Confederations Cup.

“I think CECAFA recognized our work this year and they decided to add another champion in their midst,” Proline director Mujib Kasule told before adding.

“We are going there to compete but also enjoy ourselves this being our first time. I hope the people in Kigali and those on TV will enjoy watching us play,” he added.

According to the former club coach, this is a great opportunity for Proline to take part in such big tournament claiming that it will give them exposure to outside football world.

“It’s an honor for us to play in these international competitions, they will give our club that international platform to showcase what the boys have learned from the coaches and hopefully they can market themselves to the benefit of both the club and themselves,” he noted.

After the CECAFA Kagame tournament, Proline will also represent Uganda in the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation Cup.

Proline FC had a fantastic 2018/2019 season which saw them winning FUFA Big League and Stanbic Uganda Cup.
