Appearing at the CECAFA Kagame Club championship for the first time, Proline FC is already in the Rwandan capital Kigali ahead of the regional competition that will be played between July 6th and July 21st.
Proline FC will play their maiden game against Rwandan giants APR at Kigali Stadium on Saturday and the club’s head coach Shafiq Bisaso believes they are equal to the challenge.
“We are here for the first time and considered as underdogs but we shall work hard and we are passing a warning to our opponents that it’s going to be tight,” Bisaso told www.football-256.com after Friday’s training session.
“Being our first time here, the weather isn’t favourable but we hope that we shall be used to it within the two days left before we play our first game on Saturday,” he added.
Proline FC were handed the opportunity to play at this year’s edition after a number of regulars in the region like Simba Sports Club and Young African Sports Club of Tanzania both pulled out.
Proline are in group C alongside APR of Rwanda, Green Buffaloes of Zambia and Heegan of Somalia and will be based in Kigali.
