Namibia captain Dynamo Fredericks says their encounter against Tanzania is like a final to them as it carries huge significance in their prospects of progressing to the quarter-finals.
Namibia face Tanzania on Saturday, January 23, in matchday two of Group D at the ongoing Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).
“After losing our first game, we have lifted our spirit and our next encounter is like a final for us. We will put in our best,” the midfielder said.
Namibia heads into the game knowing a defeat for them will see the team join Zimbabwe as the first teams to be eliminated from the competition.
Namibia was beaten 3-0 by outstanding Guinea in their first group game.
In their last encounter against Guinea, Namibia had nine shots and just three of them were on target, something which will have to change if they are to keep their hopes of staying in the competition.
