Kenya national team, the Harambee Stars will now play Tanzania in the first round of 2020 CHAN qualifiers and not Burundi as earlier announced.
This comes after CAF opted to include Djibouti in the qualifiers leading to the reshuffling of the Chan qualification draw.
The first leg of the qualifier between the two teams will be played in Tanzania between July 26 and July 28, before the two teams face-off in the return leg in Nairobi between August 2, and August 4, 2019.
The two teams recently clashed at the 2019 Total African Cup of Nations; Kenya came from a goal down to beat Tanzania 3-2.
The CHAN qualifiers will provide an opportunity for Emmanuel Amunike’s side to avenge for the defeat.
The aggregate winner of the first-round clash will face-off with the winner of the clash between hosts Ethiopia and Djibouti.
