After a successful loan spell at AMOK Chrysomilia WFC, Crested Cranes striker Juliet Nalukenge returned to her parent club Apollon Ladies, and was handed a contract extension.

Nalukenge left Kawempe Muslim in September 2021 and joined Cyprus side Apollon on a two-year contract but was immediately sent out on loan to Chrysomilia.

During her loan spell at Chrysomilia, the 18-year-old scored seven goals, the highest of any other player at the club and upon her return to Apollon, she has put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension.

“I am delighted that in my first season abroad, I was able to play well despite being on loan at Chrysomolia WFC,” Nalukenge told FUFA media before revealing her contract extension at Apollon.

“I ended the season as the club’s top scorer with seven goals and this helped me earn a three-year contract at my parent club Apollon Ladies WFC,” she revealed.

The 2019 Airtel FUFA Player of the Year believes that extending her contract motivates her more ahead of the new season in Cyprus.

She is part of the Uganda Crested Cranes team that will take part in the 2022 CECAFA Women’s Championship at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru starting from June 1 to June 11.

It is from that squad that head coach George Lutalo will choose who makes it to the team that will represent Uganda in the Women Africa Cup of Nations slated for July 2 – July 23 in Morocco.
