The Uganda Cranes team officially started training on Tuesday Morning at the Star times stadium ahead of the COSAFA Tournament in South Africa scheduled for 25th May to 8th June.
Fourteen players, all local based showed up on day one under a watchful eye of head coach Abdallah Mubiru with team manager Geofrey Massa and goalkeeping coach Sadiq Wassa.
The team’s session lasted two and a half hours and mainly focused a lot on transition play mainly from defence going forward.
In the session, all KCCA FC players and assistant coach Morley Byekwaso didn’t turn up as they requested to miss and be part of their Star Times Uganda Premier League trophy parade celebrations but will be available tomorrow.
After training, the team headed straight into residential camp at sky hotel, Naalya and are expected to hold a second session this evening at Namboole stadium outside pitch.
The Cranes will begin their COSAFA journey in the quarter finals against Lesotho at the Princess Magogo, stadium.
