Abdallah Mubiru is a happy man and impressed at the same time with the level the Cranes team preparing for the 2019 COSAFA Championship is picking up quickly on how he wants them to play.
Mubiru and Livingstone Mbabazi renown enforcers of the building game but also teaching their players how the game should be played.
In turns, Mubiru and Mbabazi always take time off to explain different plays in training in the best way.
Something the players have appreciated and probably the reason the working relationship between the players and coaches have been top notch.
“Much as my players are young, they are talented and well prepared as compared to the time we started training,” Mubiru said after the Monday morning training session at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.
“They are eager to play and win, they are beginning to look as a team and they want to do everything as a team, it is very interesting working with them,” he added.
Mubiru was trusted to take charge of team by Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre, who is currently in Abu Dhabi with the senior Cranes’ team preparing for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations.
The 2019 COSAFA Championship kicked off on Saturday May 25th, 2019 Uganda Cranes will however start their campaign at the quarterfinal level on Saturday June 1st 2019 against Lesotho.
