Police FC will host SC Villa at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Wednesday, May 19, in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The fixture has not produced a winner since April 2018 when Villa won 1-0 courtesy of Martin Kizza – now an Express FC player.

Since then, the Cops and the Jogoos have shared spoils five times consecutively.

And depending on either side’s current form, the signs point towards yet another stalemate between the two teams.

Police has not won any of their last four league games, losing thrice and drawing the other, while the Jogoo have won none of their last eight league games, losing four and drawing four.

In their most recent outings, Police lost 3-1 to URA FC whereas Villa also lost 3-1 to holders Vipers SC.

Both sides will be looking forward to returning to winning ways but history could have a larger say.

Coming into Wednesday’s game, Abdallah Mubiru’s charges seat sixth on the 16 team log on 38 points while their visitors are five points below in eighth position on 33 points.

Police have scored the second largest number of goals this season (48) only behind Vipers who have managed 53 and should at least manage a goal with the likes Ben Ocen and Brian Mayanja Muluuli in fine scoring form.

Edward Kaziba’s coached side has neither scored enough nor defended well, they have scored 26 goals and conceded 27 goals.

Since 2012, Police and Villa have met 17 times, Police has won twice, Villa four times, while 11 games have been draws.
