All is set for Uganda women’s national football team’s clash against Ethiopian side for the first leg of the African Qualifiers-Women’s Tournament Olympics Games Tokyo 2020.
The two sides will face off at National Stadium, Addis Ababa on Wednesday as Faridah Bulega’s coached side looks at stunning Selam Zeray’s troop.
‘My team is well set and I am sure the final 20 that I will name for this tie, will do the needful in Addis Ababa,” Bulega was quoted by the FUFA website.
The Crested Cranes team was also heightened by the arrival of US-based duo defender Yudaya Nakayenze and striker Sandra Nabweteme on Friday.
The two joined Kazakhstan based Fazila Ikwaput who had already joined camp earlier last week and together had a full training session with the rest of the Squad on Saturday morning at the team base-FUFA technical Center Njeru.
“The arrival of the trio gave us a boost and we hope for the best in this assignment’ Bulega said after Saturday’s morning training.
The team has been in residential camp since Friday last week, they will depart to Ethiopia on Monday night ahead of the first leg encounter, the return leg set for Saturday 6th April at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo, Kampala.
The winner from the two legs will meet Cameroon in yet another double legged confrontation, there will be three more rounds to be played before the overall representatives known.
