Crested Cranes want to win in Ethiopia

By Football256 Team

After releasing her final list of 20 players who travelled to Ethiopia for the 2020 Olympics’ qualifier Crested Cranes’ head coach Faridah Bulega is hopeful that the selected players will be able to come back with a win.

Crested Cranes will play Ethiopia women’s national team in the first leg of the two-legged qualifier on Wednesday in Addis Ababa before playing the return leg at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday.

“My players are in good shape mentally and physically, we are hoping for a win from Ethiopia,” Bulega said before adding.

“Basically we are going to play defensive but if things change, automatically I will switch to attack because the best way of defending is to attack,” she added.

The tactician is also buoyant that the foreign-based trio of defender Yudaya Nakayenze, strikers Sandra Nabweteme and Fazila Ikwaput will help her side to overcome the home team.

“I was able to beat them without two of my best players in CECAFA last year, today I have three which is a big addition to the squad. I hope to do everything possible to get a win against Ethiopia,” she noted.
