Ibraim Juma Dada finished the first round of the 2018/2019 StarTimes Uganda Premier League with four goals, one game into the second round, he is already on seven after his hat-trick as Nyamityobora defeated Police 4-1 at Lugogo on Tuesday.
The young striker was as hungry as they come, he was actually involved in all the four goals Nyamityobora scored on the day as he also assisted Damian Nakalema’s goal.
Still stuck in the relegation zone, Dada is ready to lead the quest that will help Nyamityobora survive relegation in their first season in the topflight.
“We came with the aim of winning and that’s the mentality in every game we are going to play,” said the Sentah College senior six candidate.
“It’s a start of the second round, and we are focused on getting the points that will help us remain in the league,” he added.
Dada is quick to admit where the motivation and confidence to put up a man of the match performance came from
“I had the belief that I would get on the score sheet today, the coach kept on pushing me to give my best and the results have been seen.”
He (coach) always encourages me to train had, even if I don’t come for club training he tells me to find time and train at school, because of classes, sometimes I delay and I don’t come for training,” he added.
The young striker look ready to be the talk of the second round, he has set a total of 10 goals on the second stanza of the league, with three already registered the seven might just come by earlier than expected.
