The draw for the 18th edition of the East African Secondary School Games has been held in Kampala at Old Kampala Secondary School.
In boys’ football category defending champion, Buddo SS and Standard High Zana have been drawn in group A.
The two last met in the just-concluded Copa Coca-Cola tournament in the classification match were Buddo merged winner.
Record winners of the East African Secondary School Games St Mary’s Kitende who are also the current holders of Copa Coca-Cola were drawn in Group C against Kenyan champion Dagorite.
On the same day, pools for girls’ schools were also drawn with current Ugandan champion Kawempe Muslim grouped in the group of death that also has 2016 FEASSA winners Gs Remera from Rwanda with Tanzania’s Alliance.
Mukono High School who will be participating in this tournament for the fourth consecutive time were drawn with St Noa who will be at this tournament for the second time
The East African Secondary School games will be hosted in Arusha Tanzania starting August 15th to 25th 2019 and team Uganda will be flagged off on Tuesday, August 13th.
