Striker Hamis Kizza Diego finally completed his move to reigning league champions Vipers Sports Club on a six months deal subject to renewal according to the club’s official website www.viperssc.co.ug.
The former URA, Nalubaale striker here in Uganda joins the Kitende side from Ethiopian outfit Fasil Kenema after both parties agreed to part ways last year.
Vipers and Diego had reached and agreed early this year but the transfer was delayed because of the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from Ethiopia
Kizza says its his love for pressure to deliver that made him join the side and is optimistic he will be able to put a smile on the faces of many.

“I love pressure and challenges the reason I decided to join Vipers,” Diego said after the team’s training morning session on Sunday, he added.
“We shall be able to play as a team, register good performances and put a smile on faces of those who fund the team but even us as players will gain.”
“I must say am happy to join Vipers SC, even happier that they have given me the opportunity to join them. I know the opportunity is a good one but I also know that at the end of the day I must deliver and I am ready,” Diego added.
Deigo is well travelled, having played football in Tanzania for Yanga and Simba, he had a stint in South Africa too with Free State Stars and has featured for the Cranes too.
“As an experienced player I must keep the discipline and also be an example to the the junior players because they need guidance,” he said.
He believes that exposure and experience can go a long way in helping the junior players at Vipers grow through the ranks too.

“It’s all about One Team one Dream and we must work hard as a team to make sure everything goes according to plan.”
“I know the challenges in front of me but as a man you must face such challenges to over come with dignity. I am ready to help my team achieve our target this season,” he noted.
Diego is likely to make his Vipers’ debut this Tuesday against Nyamityobora in Kakyeka before they face Villa at Kitende on Saturday.
