Despite his side’s barren stalemate with Bright Stars at Champion Stadium Mwererwe on Saturday, KCCA FC assistant coach Morley Byekwaso praised the performance demonstrated by his players.
For the second straight season, KCCA FC failed to a double on Bright Stars, last season in Lugogo it was a stalement before the former won the Mwererwe tie 2-1.
“We are a bit happy with the strength and effort the players have put in to get this result, we haven’t won but we appreciate the point we have got.” Byekwaso said in the post-match press conference.

Mike Mutebi’s second in command added that his side’s only target is to maintain their status on top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, especially after Vipers dropped points in their 3-1 loss to SC Villa at Kitende.
“We are looking forward to see that we maintain our lead at the top of the table, especially now that our competitors dropped some points.”
“We think this will give us a good vision and strength to see that we keep on working so hard to achieve our goal of winning the title,” Byekwaso said.

Byekwaso has been in charge of KCCA FC since the side’s game against Mbarara City, standing in for Mutebi who is serving a four-match ban after uttering statements that were deemed to have put the game into disrepute.
KCCA FC’s next game is this Wednesday against BUL at Lugogo, the champions Vipers will visits Tooro United at Buhinga on Tuesday
