After a series of abysmal results at Somali heavyweights, Mogadishu City FC, Ugandan tactician Hussein Mbalangu has been shown the exit.
After only four months in the seat, the club has confirmed the exit of the former Mbarara City FC coach.
“The management of the club had an emergency meeting about the downfall of the club,” Mogadishu said in a statement.
“The administration sat after consecutive defeats and has questioned the cause of the situation. Finally, the administration agreed on August 23 to end the first coach Hussein Mbalangu’s contract at the club.”
The latter joined the team in April but four months later, he failed to make a sounding mark.
The team has endured an absolutely poor start to the 2022/23 season, losing four of their five league games, with a point off Horseed in a 2-2 draw on August 15 the only point out of a possible 15.
The 4-0 loss to Heegan FC on Sunday was the last nail in Mbalangu’s coffin, marking his last engagement in Somalia.
