Former Arua Hill forward Robert Eseru and ex-SC Villa Winger Vitalis Tabu are among the ten new signings unveiled by Uganda Premier League side Blacks Power FC.

Eseru joins the Lira-based side from Arua Hill after he was released by the Kongolo at the start of the season having joined them last season.

The lanky striker was hindered by injury backs despite being one of the key players for head coach Livingstone Mbabazi.

Eseru scored Arua Hill’s first-ever Uganda Premier League goal last season in a 2-0 victory away to Express FC at Wankulukuku Stadium in their maiden league game in the top flight.

He has previously featured for Arua Hill, UPDF FC, and Ndejje University. Meanwhile, Tabu will join Blacks Power from FUFA Big League side Calvary FC after his documentation is complete.

He joins with vast experience having had a stint with several clubs like Onduparaka FC, Paidha Black Angels, URA, SC Villa, and BUL FC.

Other incoming players are former Onduparaka forward Gabriel Matata from Atlabara in South Sudan, and right winger Joel Male from Tooro United, who previously featured for Express and left winger Isaac Tumusiime from Kitara FC.

Goalkeeper Kenneth Lukyamuzi from Tooro United, holding midfielder Ivan Nambaffu from Kaaro Karungi, and right-back Jackson Wabuleta from Soroti City are the other players.

Midfielder Omeri David and striker Odongo Moses were promoted from the junior team.

It should be noted that the Hussein Mbalangu side released seven players last month including goalkeeper Muhammad Ssekeba, Bronson Nsubuga, Onekalit Francis, Faisal Muwawu, Baden Mujahid, Stephen Othieno, and Ronald Musana.

Blacks Power who signed a deal with kit manufacturers Mafro towards the end of the first round are 12th on the log with 11 points having been promoted from the Big League as champions last season.
