News coming out of West Africa is that there will be an exhibition game in the Senegalese capital of Dakar on January 7th 2019 pitting a collection of African football legends and the golden generation of Senegal.
The generation is most remembered for playing the 2002 Africa Cup Of Nations final and also got to the quarter final of the World Cup in the same year.
According to Senenews the game is scheduled to take place at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar, a day to the 2018 CAF African Footballer of the year awards to be held in the same city
Stars like; Ivorian legendary striker, Didier Drogba, Cameroon’s all time top scorer, Samuel Eto’o, four times African Footballer of the year, Gnegneri Yaya Toure will lead the African cast.
While ex Liverpool stars El Hadji Diouf and Salif Diao are all expected to feature for the Senegalese side.
The annual event which brings together Africa’s best performing players for a calendar year takes place in Senegal this year.
