Wasswa Bbosa has challenged Express FC players to prove that they can win this season’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League by staying focused for the remaining five games of the season.
Bbosa was speaking after his side thrashed Busoga United 4-0 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru on Tuesday.
“It was not an easy game, but we managed to win. Busoga is a good side with talented young players, and they played well despite losing 4-0,” Bbosa said after the game.
“We beat them on the counter-attack. It is one of the tactics we emphasized during training before the game.”
“We knew they are good on the ball and know what exactly to do, so we had to focus on their weakness every time they go forward and hit them on the counter,” he added.
Godfrey Lwesibawa bagged his first hat-trick of the season, with Eric Kambale scoring the fourth as the Red Eagles registered their sixth straight league win.
With five games to go until the end of the season, the 2012 SUPL champions occupy top spot on 55 points, one ahead of URA FC, who have a game in hand.
“It is good on our side that we have won and also improved our position. Let us stay focused and win the remaining five games because they are crucial as far as the title race is concerned,” Bbosa noted.
Express will return home on Friday, May 21 to host bottom side Kitara before they play Wakiso, MYDA, BUL and KCCA to wrap up the season.
