Express FC seem to have stepped up a gear a bit as they continue to prepare for the new season. The Red Eagles have signed forward Kiragga Mustafa.
The 19-year-old joins on a two-year deal from Alexandria FC in South Africa and will be tasked to provide support to the last season’s top marksman Frank Kalanda.
Kiragga insists it’s a good opportunity and he’s ready to grab it with two hands.
“Am happy to be a Red Eagle, as a striker my target is to score as many goals and also help the team perform well,” Kiragga told the club website after inking his deal.
Having already boosted the backline and goalkeeping department, Wasswa Bossa is well aware that a potent striking line is key in attaining a top four finish hence the need to boost it.
Striker Kalanda scored only 11 of the total 30 goals the six-time league champions scored last season and although debutant Frank Ssenyondo added 8 goals it’s evident Wasswa Bossa had to bolster the attacking options.
